The Start of Sound FX

Sound FX was founded in 1988 by Steve Medeiros, the current owner and president of the West Warwick location. Steve opened a location on Park Avenue in Cranston under the original name of Cellular Connections. In the summer of 1994, the store was relocated to its current location on Route 2 in West Warwick and renamed Sound FX.

Expanding Our Sound

Several years later, a second store emerged in Seekonk, which was eventually moved to the current location on Route 6 in East Providence. In 2007, ten year EP store manager Matt DeLuca purchased the location.

From the Dashboard to Your Den

Ten years ago, our satisfied automotive clients repeatedly requested our services for their homes. Home theater and audio are now an integral part of Sound FX. Today, we have grown into a full-service audio/video company and are a proud member of CEDIA, the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association. Our staff consistently trains and keeps abreast of the latest technology in the industry.
